Team Lead – Transportation Policy and Engagement
Joy Davis is a certified project manager with 17 years of experience. Ms. Davis leads research across transportation modes and fields, with a frequent focus on safety and policy. Formally a professional communicator, she works to gain insight into complex problems to produce guidebooks, toolkits, and other user-friendly resources that can be sustainably implemented by public agencies. A trained facilitator, Ms. Davis has guided discussions with stakeholders ranging from community members to federal staff to establish more informed policies and transportation decisions. Ms. Davis is a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Transportation Safety Management Systems (ACS10), the Standing Committee on Access Management (ACP60) and is Chair of the Subcommittee on School Transportation – ACS10(3).

The opportunity to make a difference through my work — to help improve someone’s life or increase their safety in even a small way — that’s the goal of all I do.
What was your dream job as a child?
Teacher — I guess I’m doing some of that now in a different form with the toolkits and training we develop.
