Transportation Engineer
Ginny is a professional engineer working on various safety policy and traffic engineering tasks, projects, and contracts. She holds a master’s degree in Transportation Infrastructure and Systems Engineering and an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, both from Virginia Tech. She has experience in multiple areas within traffic engineering including traffic operations analysis, traffic safety analysis, transportation system planning, traffic design, project management, and transportation safety policy. Her technical duties have involved leading/performing safety studies using the HSM; developing traffic capacity studies for multiple agencies; and designing signing/striping, signals, and roadway lighting. She has also facilitated multi-agency workshops and virtual presentations. Her computer software experience includes: ArcGIS, AutoTurn, Civil3D, GuideSign, HCS, IHSDM-HSM (including various HSM spreadsheet tools), Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, MicroStation, SignCAD, Synchro, TransModeler, and VISSIM.
