      \"\"Ridgewood Apartments Complex – South Hill, Virginia<\/strong><\/p>\n

      This project\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>involves the layout\u00a0of a site design for four\u00a0proposed multi-<\/span><\/span><\/span>story apartment buildings and their adjoining p<\/span><\/span><\/span>arking lots.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Multiple layout options and building renderings have\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>been\u00a0developed for use during rezoning proceedings with\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>the goal of proceeding to preliminary design in 2025. The\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>layout was designed using Autodesk Civil 3D. 3D renderings\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>of the apartments were developed in Sketch up using only a\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>basic floor plan provided by the client. Textures and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>landscaping features were also added to provide a more\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>realistic feel. Feasibility considerations, such as site\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>topography, stormwater retention, and local codes were\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>considered during conceptual design.<\/span><\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      \"\"Berry Hills Country Club Pool<\/strong><\/p>\n

      This\u00a0project in Charleston, WV\u00a0is a\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>collaboration between\u00a0<\/span><\/span>toXcel<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Lawson Engineering and Technical\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Services. The existing pool has\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>been leaking for some time.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>toXcel\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>assisted with the\u00a0site survey, and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>an\u00a0existing conditions map\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>including \u00a0grids showing the\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>approximate locations of existing\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>structural members.             toXcel\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>contributed to the development\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>of a successful PROTECT grant\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>application in the total amount of\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>$6,781,380.\u00a0This program will\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>improve weather and traffic flow\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>monitoring along Virginia’s\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>evacuation routes\u00a0<\/span><\/span>using:<\/span><\/span>\u00a0flood\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>monitors, road weather\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>information systems, CCTV’s and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>automated traffic signal\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>performance measures.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
